Description
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of various age groups utilizing both standardized tests and insightful observational techniques.
  • Create tailored treatment strategies that target immediate objectives alongside long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
  • Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions focusing on enhancing speech clarity, language development, fluency, and swallowing capabilities.
  • Partner closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers to formulate cohesive and effective treatment plans.
  • Empower patients and families with educational resources that encourage progress outside of the therapy environment.
  • Occasionally perform inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions to ensure seamless care throughout the patient's course of treatment.
  • Maintain precise and timely documentation that adheres to all relevant regulations.
  • Engage in continuous learning and collaboration with peers to stay abreast of innovations in speech-language pathology.
Education
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
Certifications
  • Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
