- Conduct thorough evaluations of various age groups utilizing both standardized tests and insightful observational techniques.
- Create tailored treatment strategies that target immediate objectives alongside long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
- Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions focusing on enhancing speech clarity, language development, fluency, and swallowing capabilities.
- Partner closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers to formulate cohesive and effective treatment plans.
- Empower patients and families with educational resources that encourage progress outside of the therapy environment.
- Occasionally perform inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions to ensure seamless care throughout the patient's course of treatment.
- Maintain precise and timely documentation that adheres to all relevant regulations.
- Engage in continuous learning and collaboration with peers to stay abreast of innovations in speech-language pathology.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
- Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
- Expertise in evidence-based practices relevant to various age demographics and comprehending both developmental and acquired communication disorders.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a knack for building relationships with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Ability to modify therapy approaches to embrace diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
