About the Role
The Company is seeking a Senior Vice President for Global Procurement and Supply Chain. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing global procurement and supply chain strategies that align with the organization's goals. This role involves driving the team to meet business objectives, ensuring that sourcing and procurement strategies are in line with the company's broader goals, and maintaining quality, delivery, risk assessment, and cost standards. The SVP will also be tasked with building strong relationships with cross-functional teams, particularly in R&D and operations, and with global suppliers. A key aspect of the position is to lead a global team, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement, and to stay abreast of industry trends to drive cost savings and innovation. Applicants for this role at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, operations management, or a related field, with a Master's or MBA preferred. A minimum of 15 years' experience in procurement and supply chain, with at least 7 years in a leadership role, is required, particularly in complex manufacturing environments such as automotive, mobility, aerospace, or defense. The ideal candidate will possess excellent strategic thinking, analytical skills, and business acumen, as well as strong negotiation skills and deep financial acumen. Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and TQM is essential, as is a proven track record in building high-performing teams and driving change management. The role demands an outstanding leader with strong communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving business environment.
