PHP Software Engineer

Seeking a full-time PHP Software Engineer to build and maintain high-performance backend systems for a remote position, focusing on developing PHP applications, optimizing MySQL databases, and implementing RESTful APIs. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain high-performance PHP applications serving millions of API requests daily Optimize MySQL database schemas, queries, and indexing for performance and reliability Implement and maintain RESTful APIs following modern design standards, including OpenAPI specifications Required Qualifications 3+ years of professional software development experience with strong proficiency in modern PHP (PHP 8+) and frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony Expertise in MySQL, including query optimization and schema design for high-traffic applications Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs using modern standards Familiarity with Redis for caching and performance optimization Proficiency with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
