The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude, strong problem‑solving skills, and an active EPA Certification. Job Responsibilities Diagnose causes of problems and failures in heating/air conditioning systems, refrigeration systems, and food service equipment to identify repair or replacement needs with high accuracy. Perform maintenance and service repairs, install new units, or replace parts of existing units with specifications of 15 tons+. Maintain larger preventative maintenance contracts with more than 5 units. Repair or replace defective parts in units and equipment and their controls. Service and troubleshoot mini‑splits and/or replace smaller RTUs and mini‑splits for up to 15 tons. Communicate with Dispatch to ensure completion of scheduled jobs. Maintain preventative maintenance schedules and procedures for customers. Provide elite customer service to every customer encountered. Accountabilities Continual learning and development through FirstCall Academy to set the bar for skill level in the industry. Offer elite-level customer service to ensure we become the first call for HVAC needs. Qualifications Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record. Active EPA Certification. 5+ years’ experience in a commercial HVAC setting. OSHA 10 Certification. Manufacturer Certification preferred. Available to work flexible hours and on‑call shifts as needed. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills. Behavioral Profile Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write correspondence; effective communication with customers, explaining problems and resolutions clearly; closely communicate issues/concerns/updates with account managers. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; compute rate, ratio, percent; draw and interpret graphs. Reasoning Ability Apply common sense to carry out written, oral, or diagram instructions; handle problems with several concrete variables in standardized situations; maintain mental stamina for problem‑solving and prioritizing multiple tasks; lead and teach helpers and technicians. Physical Demands Regular use of hands, standing, walking, and sitting; frequent climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; lifting/moving up to 50 pounds; requires normal vision (close, distance, peripheral, depth, focus adjustment).
