About the Position

Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Valid RN License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Prior operating room experience with a minimum of 1 year. Experience with general surgery, including laparoscopic, orthopedic, spine. Willingness to learn gastrointestinal procedures if not already experienced. Availability for on-call shifts within staff rotation. Description: Surgery department with a total of 4 beds and 6 staff members. Day shift includes 2 RNs and 2.5 CSTs, with a director overseeing operations. Patient ratios are maintained at 1:1. Basic operating room setup with capabilities for general, orthopedic, neuro-spine, and GI procedures. Utilizes Meditech for electronic medical records. This role requires a friendly, hardworking team player who is flexible and willing to assist others. Bilingual candidates are a plus. Typical procedures include general surgeries and laparoscopic, orthopedic, neuro-spine, and GI procedures. The unit is experiencing growth and is expanding services with new equipment and instruments. A robotic surgery system will be introduced soon. Current staff has extensive experience, with most members serving for over 4 years. This position requires the traveler to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with existing employees.
