Senior Director of Cyber Defense Architecture & Engineering

Senior Director role leading enterprise cyber defense architecture, detection, and response capabilities across endpoint, network, cloud, identity, and data environments. Responsible for building resilient, intelligence-driven platforms and establishing security frameworks to protect corporate assets and brand.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute enterprise cyber defense architecture strategy aligned with threat landscape and risk appetite
• Develop layered defense models across endpoint, network, cloud, identity, and SaaS platforms
• Establish detection engineering standards, logging requirements, and reference architectures globally
• Evaluate and integrate security tools and technologies including SIEM, SOAR, NDR, and deception platforms
• Lead global team of detection engineers, platform engineers, and automation specialists

Requirements

• Extensive experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale cyber defense architectures
• Deep knowledge of detection engineering, SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, and threat intelligence platforms
• Demonstrated expertise in Zero Trust architecture and cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Strong understanding of MITRE ATT&CK framework and threat-driven security design
• Experience leading large, distributed teams of detection and platform engineers
• Knowledge of global regulatory compliance (HIPAA, GDPR, SOX, FDA/GxP)
• Proficiency with automation, AI/ML integration, and policy-as-code approaches
