Senior Quality Engineer

Senior Quality EngineerOpenwork is currently engaged in a search to find an experienced Senior Quality Engineer in Spartanburg, SC. In this challenging and rewarding role, you will join a manufacturer specializing in high-precision metal components. You will be responsible for driving continuous improvement, reducing process variation, and ensuring product and process conformity.ResponsibilitiesLead closed-loop problem solving (8D/A3), including containment, root cause, corrective actions, and effectiveness verification.Implement and improve shop-floor quality systems to meet shipping requirements.Plan and execute process/product audits and verify effectiveness of corrective actions. Provide timely KPI reporting (PPM, scrap/rework, COPQ, audit results) and escalate quality risks with clear recommendations.Qualifications5+ years in Quality Engineering in a manufacturing environment.Working knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 14001; internal auditor certification preferred.Proficiency with 8D/A3, PFMEA, control plans, MSA, SPC, and corrective action systems.Healthcare, vision and dental benefits$80,000-$85,000 DOE.
