Job Title Optometrist, Correctional Facility. Location & Duration Valley State Prison, Chowchilla, CA, Madera County. Part‑time, 28 hours per week. Responsibilities Conduct examinations of the eye using observation and instruments to determine visual acuity and perception, focus, and coordination to diagnose diseases and other abnormalities for the patient. Maintain order and supervise the conduct of inmates, protecting and maintaining the safety of persons and property. Work under the general direction of the Receiver’s Medical Executive.
