Ensures continuous flow of tile through setting equipment and stops equipment as needed to adjust. Discards defective tile into hoppers for recycling. Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor. Follows ISO operating procedures. Unloads slabs from conveyor trays and stacks on conveyor belt in setting. Monitor automatic setting equipment for efficient operations. Cleans broken tile from empty kiln cars in setting. Inspects finished tile for defects and flips base product when necessary. Discards defective tile into trash hoopers in Sorting. Complete equipment changeovers to accommodate the different tile sizes in Sorting. Operates unloading equipment and completes changeovers successfully in Sorting. Operates Finger Car and necessary paperwork in Setting. Operates various powered industrial trucks. Scan finished product into warehouse inventory and places in proper location. Removes and empties scrap and waste containers using the forklift. Loads and unload corner tiles in Corners. General Cleanup in various Departments. Must be willing to learn new positions throughout the plant. Willingness to have a flexible schedule and work overtime. Performs other related duties as required. Knowledge, Experience, Competencies And Supervision Describe the education, knowledge, required, years of experience, specific skills, and abilities required to do the position on a fully competent basis. Education and Knowledge High school diploma or equivalent experience. Experience 0 -1 year previous manufacturing/production experience. Competencies Good oral and written communications skills. Good record keeping skills. Good listening skills. Ability to understand and speak basic English.
