Location: San Marcos, CA

Schedule: 8:00AM - 5:00PM x 5

Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension

Pay Rate: $145-150/hour

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Adult Endocrinology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (NP/PA) for a locum tenens assignment in San Marcos, CA. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.

Qualifications:

• Active CA physician assistant or nurse practitioner license
• Board certified
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Provide endocrinology care to adult patients in person and via telehealth.
• Evaluate and manage Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, including acute and complex cases.
• Manage osteoporosis and other endocrine-related conditions.
• Provide gender-affirming endocrine care for transgender patients.
• Conduct approximately 4-6 new patient consultations per day.
• Provide follow-up care and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Manage an average of 16 patients per day.
• Educate patients on diabetes management, medications, and lifestyle changes.
• Coordinate care with physicians, diabetes educators, and other healthcare professionals.
• Document patient visits and treatment plans accurately and timely.
