Labor and Employment Associate

Job Overview A law firm seeks a junior to mid-level Labor and Employment Associate to join its Nashville, TN office. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, legal research, writing, and analytical skills, with experience in counseling clients on complex employment law issues. A current license to practice law in Tennessee is required. Duties Advise employers on employment policies, wage and hour compliance, and discrimination claims. Manage all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation. Draft and review employment agreements, employee handbooks, and workplace policies. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Collaborate effectively within a team-based environment. Requirements 2-5 years of experience in labor and employment law. Strong communication and analytical skills. Licensed to practice law in Tennessee. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications Licensed to practice law in Tennessee. Skills Excellent legal research and writing abilities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
