Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer

Job Duties

We are seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to support supplier quality, component qualification, and new product development activities. This role partners closely with suppliers and cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality components, materials, and services meet regulatory, customer, and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead supplier process and component/material development to deliver capable, compliant products.

• Define and execute component qualification strategies, including PPAP planning, supplier readiness assessments, and release activities.

• Develop inspection methods, test methods, and acceptance criteria for new components.

• Perform statistical analysis using Minitab and Excel to evaluate process capability, qualification data, and supplier performance.

• Conduct supplier audits, process validations, Gage R&R studies, and failure investigations.

• Drive supplier quality improvements, risk reduction, yield improvements, and cost savings initiatives.

• Support New Product Development (NPD) through commercialization and transfer to manufacturing.

Minimum Education Required

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.

Minimum Experience Required

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Quality, or Quality Engineering experience (2+ years with an advanced degree).

• Experience with supplier controls, process validation, test method validation (TMV), root cause investigations, and statistical quality methods.

• Working knowledge of PPAP and component qualification processes.

• Advanced knowledge of statistics and Design of Experiments (DOE).

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the medical device or other regulated industry.

• Knowledge of FDA QSR (21 CFR 820), ISO 13485, CMDR, EU MDR/MDD, and GMP requirements.

• Experience with supplier audits, CAPA, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• ASQ CQE or Lead Auditor certification preferred.
