Location: Inova Fairfax Hospital, 3300 Gallows Road, Falls Church, VA 22042. Online applications only. Schedule: Full‑time shifts – 6:00‑2:00, 7:00‑3:00, 12:30‑8:30, 2:00‑10:00, 5:00‑10:00; rotating weekends. Exact schedule assigned during interview. Pay: Fixed $17.00 per hour. Sign‑on bonus: $750 (half at 90 days, remainder at 180 days). Requirements: Minimum 1 year of dishwashing/kitchen utility experience. Job Summary Maintains dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in orderly and sanitary condition. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Scrape and rinse food, wash dishes by hand or place in racks/jobs on conveyor as directed. Wash pots, pans, and trays following assigned procedures. Polish silverware using burnishing machine, chemical dip, buffing wheel, and hand cloth as per procedure. Ensure compliance with safety procedures. Maintain temperatures and chemical levels per standards. Keep dish area orderly and meet safety standards. Sweep and mop kitchen floors to satisfy safety and sanitation standards. Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food‑prep surfaces. Remove trash, empty designated containers, steam‑clean or hose out garbage cans. Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas. Assist with loading and unloading of supplies and products. Perform other duties as assigned.
