Maintenance TechnicianBGIS is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join the team in South Jordan, UT.BGIS is a leading provider of integrated real estate management services, including facilities management, project management, energy & sustainability services, strategic workplace consulting, real estate services and capital planning. The team is dedicated to inspiring better business performance and helping clients focus on their core businesses.The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing predictive and preventative maintenance on mechanical and building systems including HVAC pumps, motors, valves, and chilled water distribution systems. The Maintenance Technician demonstrates BGIS values in communication with clients and other team members.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesClient ServiceRespond to client service requests.Monitor service requests in work order management systemDemonstrate exceptional customer service skills and maintain positive and professional working relationship with internal and external clients.Respond to off-hour emergency calls.Work with vendors and contractors to monitor and ensure work meets BGIS and client standards.Contribute to the completion of other key initiatives assigned.Maintain Building SystemsInspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions.Assist with ancillary building systems necessary to keep systems operating at peak performance with minimal downtime.Maintain facility equipment as indicated by preventative maintenance plans.Provide general building maintenance and perform routine maintenance tasks.Troubleshoot, evaluate, and recommend upgrades.Order parts and supplies for maintenance and repairs.Forward high-level technical maintenance to appropriate resource.Knowledge and SkillsHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent.One year of experience with building/facility operations or training equivalent.Experience or knowledge of maintaining building infrastructure is preferred.Experience in mechanical/electrical service, install, or repair is preferred.Strong communication skills with verbal and written messaging.Ability to work independently and contribute positively to teamwork.Problem Solving approach to review potential solutions and provide timely client service.Basic computer knowledge of Microsoft Office.Physical Demands and Work EnvironmentTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily.Ability and willingness to travel.Respond to off-hour emergency calls.Working at heights training/certification preferred.Our company culture includes a robust mix of sound business practices and employee initiatives that promote personal and professional development, work/life balance, health and wellness and community involvement.BGIS offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, prescription coverage, health savings account, flexible spending account (both healthcare and dependent), 401(k) with a Company match, Paid Time Off, paid company holidays, short term and long-term disability, life insurance, employee assistance program, tuition reimbursement, paid parental leave, gym membership discount and team member referral bonus.The Company is an equal opportunity employer.
