TO QUALIFY:

Must have at least 1+ years of experience supporting individuals with intellectual developmental disabilities (Direct Support Professional, Job Coach, Paraprofessional, Behavior Tech, etc.) Valid Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle is required for the Community Living Support Program. Employees must be at least 18 years of age per Oregon State Administrative Rules Ability to maintain a professional demeanor, attire and personal presentation when interacting with persons served and their families.

The CISS/DSP will help individuals stay active and engaged by providing transportation to fun community events, hobbies, appointments, shopping trips, and other outings / errands. The CISS/DSP will also assist with a variety of household duties including cleaning, laundry, meal prep, budgeting and establishing routines. This program is to help the person served with living independently and day-to-day routines. Enrich and support the lives of the persons served while maintaining a safe and healthy environment. Provide companionship and personalized care while encouraging independence and self-care. Assist with activities of daily living, including community-based supports. Implement positive behavior supports and de-escalate challenging behaviors when needed. Duties may periodically include personal care assistance and support with prescribed medications. Other duties as assigned.
