Job Title: Research Associate II
Location: 4010 Ocean Ranch Blvd., California, CA 92056
Work Model: Fully On-site
Pay Rate: $56/hour on W-2
Contract: 12+ Months
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shift
Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled Associate Scientist to support purification process development, high-throughput (HTP) purification, and process characterization for upstream/cell culture samples. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with automated liquid handling systems and downstream purification techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute and optimize high-throughput purification assays and workflows.
- Operate automated liquid handling platforms, including Tecan and Hamilton.
- Perform chromatography, filtration, and microscale purification studies.
- Analyze experimental data and maintain accurate protocols, reports, and electronic lab notebooks.
- Collaborate with upstream and downstream teams to support process development.
Qualifications:
- M.S. with 2+ years or B.S. with 4+ years of relevant industry experience in Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with HTP purification, Tecan/Hamilton automation, and chromatography platforms such as AKTA.
- Strong analytical, documentation, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
