We are committed to bringing in individuals with new cultural perspectives to assist in creating a more equitable healthcare organization.JOB DETAILS - Revised ShiftsDepartment: Operating RoomFTE: 0.8 (64 hours per pay period)Workdays: Monday - Friday and every 4th weekendShift(s): Day and Night rotating shiftsShift Length: 8 hours; 8 shifts per pay periodLocation: In-PersonOther: On call per unit policyThe Operating Room (OR) has 21 full service OR suites capable of providing service to a variety surgical specialties including General, Pediatric, Neurosurgical, Orthopedic / Podiatric, Ophthalmologic, Gynecological, Ear Nose and Throat, Oral / Maxillofacial, Dental, Reconstructive Plastic / Burn, Cardiovascular, Urologic, and Trauma. In addition to these major surgical areas we have two vascular access rooms and two minor surgery suites. The OR, in combination with Vascular Access and Minor Surgery areas, performs over 11,000 surgical procedures per year totaling nearly 1,200,000 surgical minutes.RESPONSIBILITIES:Within the context of the Hennepin Healthcare System Patient and Family Centered Care model, and under general supervision, the registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care by:Protecting, promoting, and optimizing healthPreventing illness and injuryAlleviating suffering through the treatment of the human responsePartnering with the patient, their family and significant othersDocumenting interventions and an individualized plan of careQUALIFICATIONS:Minimum Qualifications:2 years of recent RN experienceGraduation from an accredited school of nursingPossession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of MinnesotaPreferred Qualifications:Certification in area of clinical specialtyBSN Preferred.
