Restaurant Manager

Role Description The Unit Manager is a full-time, on-site role located in Murray, KY, responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations. This role includes managing shift schedules, supervising and coaching associates, and ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and cleanliness. The Unit Manager monitors sales, labor, and inventory, implements company policies, and supports cost control and profitability. Day-to-day responsibilities also involve delivering excellent customer service, handling escalated guest concerns, and fostering a positive, inclusive work environment. The Unit Manager participates in training, performance reviews, and staff development to build strong teams and support Waffle House’s mission. Qualifications Experience in restaurant or retail management, including supervising teams and overseeing daily operations. Strong customer service orientation, with the ability to resolve issues professionally and maintain a welcoming atmosphere. Basic financial and operational skills, such as managing labor, inventory, and cost controls to support unit performance. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to lead diverse teams and collaborate with associates and leadership. Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays as needed in a 24/7 environment. Commitment to maintaining food safety, cleanliness, and compliance with company and regulatory standards. High school diploma or equivalent required; prior leadership experience in hospitality or food service is strongly preferred.
