About the Position

Job Title: Critical Care Float Pool RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU experience License: Valid state or compact RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Proficiency with EPIC required IV start experience Telemetry experience Ventilator management experience Description: Join our Critical Care Float Pool for weekend night shifts with flexibility to meet unit needs as they arise. Nurses will float to a variety of ICUs based on staffing and patient acuity. This includes Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs, and Medical ICUs. Nurses are required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity. Responsibilities include managing ventilated patients, administering blood products, and monitoring patients with multisystem organ dysfunction. Experience in rapid response, procedural sedation administration, and EVD management is essential. The ideal candidate will have skills in interpreting dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases. Interdisciplinary support is available from various specialties. The unit requires commitment for weekend shifts as part of staffing. All candidates must be responsive and cooperative with credentialing processes. References are required from professional colleagues, prioritizing those in leadership roles.
