Job Title Travel Respiratory Therapist (CRT) Company Fusion Medical Staffing Location Akron, Ohio Job Details 13‑week travel assignment. Required Qualifications One year of recent experience as a Certified Respiratory Therapist Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential from the NBRC Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) Preferred Qualifications ACLS or PALS certification (AHA/ARC) Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position Essential Work Functions Assist in implementing and adjusting patient treatment plans under the guidance of physicians or RRTs Examine and interview patients with breathing and/or cardiopulmonary disorders Perform diagnostic tests such as measuring lung capacity or collecting blood/sputum samples Administer respiratory treatments, including aerosol medications and oxygen therapy Set up and monitor equipment to ensure the patient receives the correct amount of oxygen at the correct rate Observe and record patient status and progress Educate patients and/or family members on appropriate medication use and equipment operation Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of CRT practice Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication skills Ability to read, write, and communicate in English Proficiency in following written and verbal instructions and PC skills Physical Abilities Maintain stationary position while moving about and handling equipment (50‑100 lbs) Push, pull, and bend as needed Interpersonal Skills Work effectively with a variety of personnel, displaying positive attitude and professionalism Technical/Motor Skills Fine manipulation, push/pull, and movement assistance during procedures and equipment use Mental Requirements Manage frequent public contact while meeting deadlines under pressure Work with occasional close supervision, and also independently when needed Adapt to irregular activity schedules and maintain continuous focus on details Sensory Requirements Visual acuity and effective communication capabilities Benefits Highly competitive pay for travel professionals Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance with first‑day coverage Paid Time Off after 1,560 hours Life and short‑term disability coverage 401(k) matching Refer‑a‑friend bonus program 24/7 recruiter support Reimbursement for licensure and CEUs Disclaimer To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
