Pharmacist Inpatient

The pharmacist will be responsible for providing pharmaceutical care to patients in an acute care setting. Experience in inpatient or outpatient oncology is required. Candidates must be IV trained and skilled in preparing both hazardous and non-hazardous medications. The position requires a commitment to working 40 hours per week, with shifts scheduled between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. Every third or fourth Saturday duty is expected from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Candidates will be clinically screened to determine their fit for the role before being presented to the manager for a final decision. Pharmacists may be required to care for COVID patients and must adhere to a tobacco and fragrance-free policy. Flexibility to float to other facilities within proximity may be necessary. This role requires dedication to the work environment and patient care standards. All pharmacists must possess the necessary skills in compounding, clinical dosing, and utilizing IV push medications. Healthcare personnel in this role will engage with a diverse patient demographic including neonates, adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.

Minimum of 2 years required

Pharmacy license required, state license pending will be considered if applied for prior to submission.

Certifications:

• PA state license required
• EPIC Beacon experience required
• IV certification
• Certification in chemotherapy/hazardous drugs
• BLS certification

Must-Have:

• Inpatient or outpatient oncology experience
• IV trained with expertise in hazardous and non-hazardous medication preparations
