Seeking a full time BC/BE fellowship trained Surgical Oncologist to grow a mature surgical oncology program.

• Join Surgical Institute of South Dakota, a growing private group of 11 surgeons and 9 advanced practice providers, established in the community for 40 years.
• Surgical Oncology practice focusing on stomach, foregut, melanoma, carcinoma, small bowel, hepatobiliary, and esophageal cases.
• Multidisciplinary collaboration with 10 medical oncologists, 3 breast surgeons, 3 gynecologic oncologists, 7 radiation oncologists, 3 palliative medicine physicians, 5 hematology/ transplant and cellular therapy physicians.
• Newly renovated inpatient surgical suites, outpatient surgery center built within the last 13 years, and 5 DaVinci XI/V5 surgical robotics systems.

1. Located on the campus of Avera McKennan, a 545‑bed hospital that serves as the tertiary referral center for the Avera Health System, a non‑profit Catholic organization.
2. Footprint spans 72,000 square miles in the states of SD, MN, IA, NE, and ND, with a patient catchment area of 2 million people and a referral network of more than 1,300 physicians and advanced practice providers in 315 locations.
3. Cancer patients receive treatment at six highly integrated state‑of‑the‑art Cancer Institutes, including radiation oncology, chemotherapy, diagnostic mammography services, PET CT, and comprehensive onsite support services such as patient advocates, social workers, genetic counseling, art therapy, music therapy, and chaplaincy.
