Embark on a rewarding, full-time contract position supporting students at a dynamic high school in the greater Plano, TX area. Two onsite roles are open for passionate Special Education professionals: 1) a Math Resource Teacher (SPED and Math certified) and 2) an Academic Vocational Life Skills Teacher (SPED certified plus core content, with EC-6 accepted). Both positions run through May 21, 2027, offering the opportunity to impact the academic and personal growth of diverse learners.

Ideal candidates thrive working collaboratively with students, staff, and families, and have a background in delivering specialized instruction within a secondary education environment. Candidates with previous experience supporting IEP implementation, modification of curriculum, data collection, and progress reporting in either math resource or life skills vocational settings are strongly preferred.

Desired Experience & Certifications

• Valid Texas Special Education Certification (required for both positions)
• Math Certification for the Math Resource Teacher
• Core Content or EC-6 Certification for the Life Skills Teacher
• Demonstrated success in supporting students with disabilities in academic or vocational learning environments
• Experience in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, managing IEPs, and adapting instruction
• Commitment to advocacy, inclusion, and student-centered practices

Primary Responsibilities

• Design and deliver instruction tailored to individual student needs
• Participate in IEP team meetings and implement all required services
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school support staff
• Document student progress and support data-driven decisions
