Senior Software Engineer

Job Description We are seeking hands‑on engineers for the Storage Infrastructure team that operates with exabytes of data across 60+ regions. Our team builds distributed systems, large‑scale storage, and scalable services for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure customers. You will own software design and development for core components that orchestrate the Storage Service, working as a distributed‑systems generalist and deep‑level systems architect. Responsibilities Design, develop, debug, and maintain software for the Storage Control Plane. Provide technical leadership to other developers and propose architectural changes to meet evolving requirements. Minimum Qualifications 5+ years of experience delivering large‑scale, highly available distributed systems and backend services. Extensive experience in Java (or a similar object‑oriented language) and scripting languages such as Python. Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, multi‑threading, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals. Deep understanding of storage systems (block/object/file) and distributed persistence technologies.
