Job Summary

The Nursing Assistant-Certified - Acute Care will provide essential support to patients and healthcare staff in an acute care setting. This role is vital for ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for patients while assisting with daily activities and basic patient care tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with basic daily activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
• Support nursing staff in medical procedures as needed while adhering to safety protocols.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding care needs and updates.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary environment for patient care.
• Assist with feeding patients and ensure they receive proper nutrition and hydration.
• Report any changes in patient condition or concerns to the nursing staff promptly.

Qualifications

• Current certification as a Nursing Assistant in the state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
• Prior experience in an acute care setting is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanor towards patients.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Work Environment
