Position Summary Roosevelt University seeks adjunct instructors to teach various mathematics courses for the Fall 2026 semester at the Chicago Campus. Students receive a strong liberal‑arts foundation emphasizing interdisciplinarity and civic engagement. Courses are offered on the Chicago campus, Schaumburg campus, and online. Compensation Entry‑level rate for teaching one 3‑credit course as of Fall 2026: $3,982.00. Courses with fewer or more credits are prorated accordingly. Entry into the union is required for subsequent semesters. Qualifications Master’s Degree in Mathematics or related field for all credit‑bearing courses; Bachelor’s Degree may be acceptable for non‑credit courses. 0 years of experience required; preferred 2‑5 years of prior university‑level teaching. Experience working with at‑risk and/or first‑generation college students. Certification or licensure as required by state for teaching. Equipment Courses may use Zoom, Excel, Word, mathematical software packages, graphing calculators, or other educational technology. Working Conditions An office environment is climate‑controlled and largely sedentary. Occasional bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, or pulling (typically less than 10 pounds) is required.
