Key Qualifications:

• Active California Teaching Credential (CTC) with Moderate to Severe or Extensive Support Needs (ESN) authorization
• Previous experience teaching in Special Day Classrooms or with students on the autism spectrum preferred
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Passion for individualized instruction and student advocacy
• Ability to manage and adapt to diverse learner needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver specially designed instruction to students in grades 1-3 or 4-6, focusing on those diagnosed with autism
• Collaborate with support staff, families, and related service providers to implement and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Create a structured and engaging classroom environment that fosters growth, social development, and independence
• Collect data to inform instructional decisions and track student progress
• Maintain compliance with state and federal special education guidelines
