Rockdale Youth Academy in Rockdale, Texas, is a 65-bed secure Youth Academy serving males ages 10 to 17. The program provides trauma-informed care addressing mental health, substance use, and specialized treatment needs.Rockdale Youth Academy integrates clinical therapy, academic instruction through Inspire Academy, GED preparation, restorative justice, therapeutic recreation, life skills development, and enrichment opportunities such as art, music, and recreation.Youth typically remain in care for six to nine months and participate in individual, family, and group therapy; victim impact awareness; substance use programming; pre-vocational preparation; and other individualized services. Required vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision. Must be able to drive for extended periods.Other: Must maintain an appropriate and valid state driver's license.
