Full-Time Prep Cook/Dishwasher

Currie Municipal Golf Course, located in Midland, MI, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Full-Time Prep Cook/Dishwasher! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. We eagerly wait for your application! General Purpose: Prepares various food products for restaurant and banquet operations, guest consumption and guest enjoyment. Will work closely with our Executive Chef to develop and hone your skills.

Essential Duties:

• Assists in the food preparation for the assigned station including; pantry, broiler/grill or saut.
• Prepares and cooks ordered items during restaurant service according to Chef's specifications.
• Inspects all stations in Kitchen at the end of each shift to make sure they are all broken down and cleaned to sanitation standards.
• Ensures proper food storage methods, labeling, rotation and temperature controls for all food items.
• Ensures proper portion control and proper plating presentations.
• Cleans and sanitizes workstation and equipment.
• Ability to perform other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands:

• Frequently stands, uses hands, talks, hears, tastes and smells.
• Regularly walks and reaches with hands and arms.
• Occasionally sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls.
• Regularly lifts up to 50 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 100 pounds.

Environment/Noise:

• Regularly works in extreme heat (non-weather) and near moving mechanical parts.
• Occasionally works in extreme cold (non-weather), wet or humid conditions (non-weather), near toxic or caustic chemicals, and in outdoor weather.
• Noise level is moderate.

Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Average knowledge of industrial equipment including range, ovens, slicer, deep fryer and grill.
• 2-3 years line experience a must.
• Culinary degree preferred.

Additional Details:

• Full-Time hourly.
• Must be available weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
