Advance your career as a dedicated School Psychologist in a full-time, contract opportunity located near Ohkay Owingeh, NM. This position allows you to play an essential role in student development, supporting the educational and emotional needs of the school community. Engage with a manageable caseload of approximately 25-30 students, focusing on evaluations and assessments to create meaningful impact.
Qualifications:
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Master’s or doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- Experience conducting student evaluations and writing comprehensive reports
- Strong knowledge of special education laws and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with students, staff, and families
- Comfortable working with diverse populations and varying student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological and psycho-educational assessments for students as part of the special education process
- Collaborate with educators and families to interpret assessment data and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate documentation and timely completion of evaluation reports
- Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings
- Provide recommendations for evidence-based interventions
- Stay current with legal requirements and best practices in school psychology
