About the Position
- Requirements: Board Certified, Active IL License or willingness to obtain, ACLS,BLS
- Schedule: Current anesthesiologist works approximately 45 weeks per year, so coverage will primarily be needed during their PTO. Typically be one week at a time, with no consistent schedule or set dates.
Potential need as early as December 2026, otherwise coverage will begin in 2027
Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Night call: 3:30 PM–7:00 AM
- General Anesthesia
- General Surgery and GI cases
- GYN
- No cardiac or pediatric cases
- Anesthesiologist supervises 2–3 CRNAs who are running the rooms
- MD responsible for pre-op and post-op patient management
- This is a great opportunity for a provider looking for occasional, one-week blocks rather than a regular locums schedule.
