Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning and preparation of vehicle bodies and parts, ensuring all surfaces are primed for painting. Sand and smooth out rough panels, filling dings and dents where necessary to create a seamless surface. Mask and cover areas of vehicles not to be painted, maintaining the integrity of surrounding materials. Inspect and ensure all preparation work aligns with company standards before moving vehicles to the painting phase. Collaborate with the painting team to understand and execute specific requirements for each project. Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep stations, ensuring tools and materials are ready for use. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Assist in maintaining stock of preparation supplies and report any shortages. Qualifications Previous experience in automotive body work and paint preparation is preferred. Proficiency with hand and power tools used in sanding, filling, and masking. Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify imperfections. Physical stamina and the capability to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team setting.
