About the Position

Clinical Nurse I Registered Nurse Home Health/Hospice 14 weeks Monday - Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Minimum of two (2) years of acute clinical nursing experience required Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California is required Current BLS certification is required prior to clinical rotation Must-Have - Home Health care experience - Acute clinical nursing experience - Hospice nursing experience preferred Description: The Clinical Nurse I role provides direct patient care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act to assigned patients in the Home Health and/or Hospice setting. The nurse collaborates with other disciplines of the health care team to ensure the delivery of safe, timely, and appropriate quality patient care. This includes providing physical assessments, IV therapy, nursing interventions, pain management, medication administration, specimen collection, meeting nutritional needs, and teaching and discharge needs of the patients assigned. Utilizes the nursing process based on evidence-based best practices to meet patient care needs. Evaluates and adjusts the nursing care process as necessary with consultation as needed. Confers with appropriate resource personnel when making ethical, legal, or medical dilemma decisions. Performs other duties as assigned.
