Limited Radiological Technician/ Medical Assistant

Job Title

A medical assistant functions under the direction, guidance, and supervision of a licensed physician, physician assistant, nurse practitioner or RN. A limited Radiological Technician performs Radiologic examination on patients of all ages and provides Radiologist with finished exams for interpretation.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: See License and Certification

Experience: Urgent care experience preferred.

Knowledge and Skills: Vitals, triage categories, medication administration, splinting, competency in lab and radiology orders, knowledge of medication rotation and record keeping. Ability to perform diagnostic radiology exams.

License/Certifications: Must hold and maintain (via required continuing education credits) current certifications from the ARRT, CRT for a limited practice technician permit. Current BLS card from American Heart Association (AHA).

Equipment: EKG machine, blood pressure machine, otoscope, oxygen tank, stethoscope, nebulizer, glucose meter, thermometer, pulse-oximeter, Omnicell medication dispensing cabinet, computer, copy machine, fax machine, and scanner. RIS, HIS, PACS, and stationary radiographic equipment.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job.

Pay Range

$22.00 - $33.42

Salary offers are determined by candidate's relevant experience and skills. For per diem positions, a standard rate is used based on market data and not the candidate's individual experience.
