Electrical Specialist

IE Specialist The IE Specialist will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and calibrating a variety of electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical instrumentation systems used in manufacturing, research and development, or other industries. The successful candidate will work with a team of engineers and technicians to ensure that all instrumentation equipment is properly functioning and accurately measuring the required parameters. The IE Specialist will: Read prints and P&IDs to interpret the work to be completed, the required equipment, and required tools to perform assigned work. Work with piping systems to install instrumentation for the system to work properly, be controlled, and/or monitored. Work with precision tools to calibrate instrumentation and to adjust installed electrical and piping components. Work with the installation, manipulation, and fabrication of piping and tubing according to specifications. Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install primary piping and tubing. Check performance using testing and measuring instruments and make necessary adjustments. Personal attributes and capabilities include: High level of intellectual ability. Physical requirements include: Adhering to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting and lifting. Talking and hearing to communicate. Using arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull: objects, materials, controls and tools. Picking up, lifting, carrying and moving up to 50lbs. Working at heights, climbing ladders and stairways, and occasionally working off of platforms/scaffolding using the appropriate fall protection requirements. Working in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold and wind) while wearing appropriate PPE. Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses/spoggles, ear plugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, leather gloves and leather steel-toed work boots.
