Registered Nurse - Cardiac Surgery PCU

This position involves providing direct patient care as a Registered Nurse (RN) in a specialized cardiac stepdown unit, supporting post-surgical cardiac patients in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care within established standards. Promote patient and family-centered care, including education on illness management, medications, and discharge planning. Develop, execute, and document individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team and patients/families. Use critical thinking to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural values. Participate in safety, quality, and compliance activities, and engage in ongoing professional development. Qualifications & Skills Minimum education: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Licensure: Active RN license. Experience: No experience required; 2+ years preferred. Strong critical thinking, autonomous decision-making, and excellent communication skills.
