Our Hardware Platforms and Accessories Team is seeking a Digital Hardware Engineer. You would be responsible for creating, testing, integrating and maintaining hardware designs for tactical radios. Enhancing cohesiveness and maintaining team morale is a responsibility of all our team members, as is the ambition for self-improvement and talent development. The essential duties and responsibilities include:

• Develops system and module level requirements and specifications .
• Designs and simulates digital circuits and systems, including associated analog and power circuits
• Creates required design documentation.
• Verifies and Validates product performance through debug, test and analysis at the component, module and system level.
• Leads small project teams, mentors junior engineers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Develops relationships with team members built on trust and respect.

Education and work experience requirements are:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field of study required.
• At least 5-7 years overall experience in designing products with significant digital hardware content.

To be considered for this position, you would need to meet, at a minimum, the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed here:

• Good understanding of Microprocessors, Microcontrollers, SOCs, Programmable Logic and Memory .
• Working knowledge of associated analog and power hardware such as audio/video and SMPS circuits
• Knowledge of high-speed busses such as LPDDR, PCIe, USB, Ethernet.
• Knowledge of low-speed peripheral busses such as SPI, I2C, SMBus
• Proficiency in software tools of the trade: Schematic Capture, PCB layout, Digital Timing Simulators, Signal Integrity Simulators
• Experience designing for manufacturability and test
• Demonstrates documentation skills and proficiency with PC office applications.

• Able to frequently sit, stand, walk, use hands to fingers, handle or feel, reach within hands and arm's length, stoop, kneel, and crouch, talk and hear.

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Additional requirements are:

• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency.

TrellisWare Technologies pays competitively according to the market in an individual's geographic location, in addition to their qualifications and experience. The posted range is annually and for individuals located in the San Diego, CA area.

San Diego, California Pay Range

$115,000—$200,000 USD
