Travel Respiratory Therapist - Nights

Location: Reston, VA

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, requiring 3 shifts per week.

Job Description: We are seeking a qualified Travel Respiratory Therapist for a challenging role in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in providing respiratory care to a diverse patient population, including neonatal care in the NICU. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with modern equipment within a supportive team dedicated to high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapy procedures for patients in critical care and NICU settings.
• Manage ventilator settings and monitor respiratory status.
• Administer aerosol therapies, high-flow oxygen, and BiPAP/CPAP treatments.
• Conduct arterial punctures and assist with A-line placements.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of hospital experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• NICU experience strongly preferred.
• Must hold a valid state license in Virginia, RRT preferred (CRT accepted).
• Current certifications in ACLS, NRP, and PALS.
