Overview InsuranceNow Developer roles focus on customizing Guidewire's cloud-based P&C insurance platform for regional insurers and MGAs. Developers handle product configuration, business logic, and integrations to support policy administration, underwriting, and claims. Responsibilities Build and customize insurance products like cyber policies on InsuranceNow using Java for rating logic and business rules. Develop UI-heavy workflows with data validation, extending Java services and handlers in multi-product environments. Configure XML-based data structures, write SQL queries for data analysis, and collaborate on claims module development. Troubleshoot issues, perform code reviews, and ensure scalable deployments following Agile practices. Requirements Hands-on experience with Guidewire InsuranceNow platform. Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent, plus 3+ years in software development. Familiarity with XML configurations, relational databases, and insurance domain preferred; Guidewire certification a plus. Preferred Skills Experience with cloud platforms, APIs, and low-code tools for P&C insurance lifecycle (product definition, underwriting, claims). Proficiency in Agile/Scrum, code optimization, and cross-team collaboration. Knowledge of AI-driven workflows or analytics in insurance software.
