Job Description
Title: Medical Laboratory Technologist - Hematology Schedule: 11p - 7:30a Assignment Details:
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in the specialty
- Certification: ASCP, AMT, or AAB
- Experience with Cerner EMR
- Familiarity with Sysmex and CellaVision systems
- Experience in a large hospital laboratory (600+ beds)
- Competence in handling complex samples, including turbid specimens, platelet clumps, and abnormal cell findings Roles & Responsibilities:
- Perform hematology tests and analyses with accuracy and efficiency.
- Handle and process a variety of complex biological samples.
- Conduct differential counts and ensure quality control of laboratory procedures.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Stay updated with industry standards and laboratory best practices.
