Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient evaluations, diagnostic test orders, and develop personalized care strategies
• Diagnose and treat a range of acute and chronic conditions in partnership with physicians or independently, depending on your credentials
• Educate patients and families about prevention, wellness, and effective disease management
• Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with your practice guidelines

Educational Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner training program

Necessary Certifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in Colorado
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain them in 90 days)
