Location: Columbia, OH Salary: Depends on Experience Description: Data Catalog Consultant Columbus, OH Contract role Context on the team and need : We are in year 2 of the Data Governance COE and built the team from the ground up This is a net new function, so many of our Data Catalog operational processes, job aids, and documentation are being established for the first time We are now moving from initial build to scale, which requires stronger structure, consistency, and audit-ready documentation We also need to improve how content is organized and maintained within SharePoint to support usability and control evidence What we need this contractor to do: Synthesize and document end-to-end Data Catalog operational processes Develop clear job aids, standard procedures, and supporting documentation for broad audiences Evaluate and improve our SharePoint folder structure and documentation approach Standardize and formalize team playbooks, including alignment to AI-related use cases and ways of working Identify gaps, streamline materials, and improve operational efficiency and auditability Types of profiles to target: Data Governance Operations or Data Management Consultants Data Catalog implementation or enablement consultants (Alation, Collibra, etc.) Business process documentation or operational excellence consultants Knowledge management or SharePoint content strategy specialists Data governance analysts or leads with strong documentation and process design experience Risk, compliance, or audit process documentation professionals Agile business analysts or product operations specialists Management consultants with operating model and playbook development experience Examples of relevant past work (must be hands-on): Documented end-to-end Data Catalog processes such as onboarding, stewardship, and access workflows Built and standardized data governance playbooks for enterprise use Created job aids and procedures to support adoption of data catalog tools Restructured SharePoint or similar environments to improve organization and audit traceability Consolidated fragmented documentation into a governed, centralized knowledge base Developed audit-ready documentation and control evidence tied to processes Translated agile workflows into clear, documented operating procedures Captured tribal knowledge and converted it into structured documentation Built onboarding materials and training guides to scale processes Identified gaps and implemented standardized templates and governance practices Profile expectations: Strong documentation and process mapping skills Experience in regulated or audit-heavy environments SharePoint or similar knowledge management expertise Ability to synthesize input from multiple stakeholders into clear outputs Scaled agile experience By providing your phone number, you consent to: (1) receive automated text messages and calls from the Judge Group, Inc. and its affiliates (collectively "Judge") to such phone number regarding job opportunities, your job application, and for other related purposes.
