Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) — Inpatient (Grand Rapids, MI)

Location: Grand Rapids, MI

Pay: $48–$52/hr

Schedule Options (choose one):

Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour shifts) — 36 hours/week guaranteed

Evenings: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (8-hour shifts) — 40 hours/week guaranteed

Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

On-Call: None

Summary

Hiring a full-time Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) for an inpatient setting in Grand Rapids, MI. This role is ideal for an RN with strong behavioral health experience who is confident with patient assessment, safety-focused care, medication/health monitoring, and clear documentation. You’ll work as part of an interdisciplinary team, provide therapeutic support in a structured environment, and help ensure a safe, respectful, recovery-focused setting for patients and staff.

Responsibilities

Perform patient assessments and develop/update plans of care with the interdisciplinary team

Provide and coordinate nursing care with physician collaboration

Monitor patient safety and identify/report changes or risks promptly

Provide patient/family education and support discharge/aftercare planning

Maintain accurate documentation and follow all policies, procedures, and quality standards

Support a safe milieu and contribute to a professional, compassionate care environment

Delegate and coordinate tasks with other clinical staff as needed (may function as charge RN)

Qualifications

Active Michigan RN license (required)

BLS certification (required)

2+ years inpatient behavioral health experience (required)

Pediatric experience (required)

Strong documentation skills and ability to follow clinical/safety protocols

Team-oriented, reliable, and comfortable working structured inpatient shifts
