About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in specialty required License: Compact or state-specific license in hand upon submittal Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Beginner, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, NRP Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Patient ratio experience of 1:2 - Charting system experience with Epic Description: Please ensure the traveler is aware of the following: Upon accepting an assignment and starting your role, unit managers may assign you to an "Emergency Team." There will be an expectation to stay at the facility until after the event passes or be part of the relief team. Specific details pertaining to pay will be relayed on each emergency event, as impacts vary. By signing your travel contract to take a position, you accept the above and will report as assigned if an emergency event were to occur. You should not apply for this role if you are not comfortable with the above. Required certifications include ACLS, AWHONN Beginner and Advanced, BLS, FHM, and NRP. AWHONN Advanced certification is preferred. Patient diagnoses include Labor, Pre-Eclampsia, and PRROM. Special procedures involve C-Section circulator responsibilities and initial newborn care. Special equipment includes birthing tubs. Patient age groups include neonates and adults. The daily census is approximately 5 patients. The unit consists of 12 rooms and 12 beds. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. Additional special procedures performed include C-Section circulation and initial newborn care.
