Emergency Department Registered Nurse
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2 years of ED experience and NM or compact RN licensure. Job details include a Level III trauma center emergency department with 48 beds plus flex space. Patient ratios are 4:1 in Main ED and 6:1 in Fast Track. The patient population includes ESRD, cirrhosis, COPD, and psychiatric patients. Common diagnoses include ESRD, substance abuse disorders, psychological disorders, COPD, CHF, abdominal pain, and chest pain. The facility uses Zoll Defibrillator, Level One Blood Transfuser, QinFlow Blood Warmer, Hospira Plum360, Freestyle and iStat POC, and Ultrasound Guided IV equipment. It operates with a Cerner EHR system. The night shift is from 7P-7A, with 36 weekly guaranteed hours, minimum of two weekends per schedule, no call requirements, and no floating requirements. Team nursing and pod system with a dedicated social worker and unit educator are in place.
