In this Medical Assistant role, you will learn from healthcare experts as you work side by side to provide care for patients in a clinic setting. At OptumCare, part of the UnitedHealth Group family of business, you will build meaningful relationships with patients, their family members, health care providers and office staff while providing high quality direct patient care.Position Details:Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm; No evenings, weekends, or holidays!Specialty: Family PracticePrimary Responsibilities:Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment & instrumentsRoom patients, obtain health history and check vital signsDocument patient care using electronic medical record softwareAdminister medications and perform injections/immunizationsAssist providers with minor, in-office procedures and perform point-of-care testingSchedule appointments, complete prior authorizations, process medication refills, handle referrals and answer patient calls as neededYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:High school education or GED equivalentMedical Assistant Certification (CMA or RMA) or you must be willing to attain that certification within 9 months of the start datePreferred Qualifications:EMR/EHR experienceExperience with Epic medical records softwareExperience with medical front office and back-office duties including vitals, injections, administering medications, referrals, prior authorizations, and insurance verifications1+ years of MA experienceGraduated from an accredited MA programCPR CertifiedPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 - $29.00 per hour based on full-time employment.
