Warehouse LeadBlue Ops - Valdosta, GA 31601Position SummaryThe Warehouse Lead supports the Materials Manager by overseeing daily warehouse operations and providing leadership to the Materials Specialists. This role ensures accurate material handling, organization, inventory control, and adherence to proper processes while continuing to perform hands-on shipping, receiving, and material movement duties.The Warehouse Lead serves as the on-floor point of contact when the Materials Manager is performing office-based responsibilities, maintaining workflow, accountability, and operational continuity.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesLead, mentor, and support Materials Specialists in daily warehouse tasks.Provide clear direction, training, and reinforcement of standard operating procedures.Monitor warehouse activities to ensure productivity, accuracy, safety, and compliance.Support the buyer and production controller with cycle counts, inventory audits, and material accuracy efforts.Assist in organizing products, labeling locations, and maintaining warehouse cleanliness and structure.Continue performing daily materials specialist duties such as shipping, receiving, material staging, kitting, and ERP transactions.Communicate issues, shortages, or process concerns to the Materials Manager, Production Controller, and Buyer promptly.Help maintain accurate inventory documentation, including receipts, discrepancies, and adjustments.Uphold safety policies, promote proper equipment use, and maintain a safe working environment.Serve as acting floor supervisor in the Materials Manager's absence to maintain operational flow.Required Qualifications10+ years of warehouse, materials, or logistics experience.5+ years leadership experienceProven organizational and communication skills.Experience with inventory systems, cycle counting, and material flow.Ability to lead and guide others while maintaining team accountability and morale.Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment (certifications preferred).High attention to detail and commitment to process accuracy.Ability to lift, move, and handle materials safely.Physical Requirements and Working ConditionsMust be able to walk, stand, and navigate large indoor and outdoor facilities for extended periods of time.Ability to lift, carry, and move materials and equipment weighing up to 25 lbs on a regular basis.Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required in designated areas or when performing specific tasks, in accordance with safety protocols and company policy.May be required to climb ladders, stoop, kneel, or crouch during inspections, maintenance walk-throughs, or emergency response situations.Regular exposure to facility operations including noise, dust, temperature fluctuations, and industrial equipment.Occasional off-hours or weekend work required for emergency facility responses or projects as neededRequires frequent use of a computer and other standard office equipment for documentation, communication, and coordination tasks.Background CheckThis position will require successfully completing a post-offer background check.
