Pharmacy TechnicianA hospital pharmacy is a busy place. Without the support of a hands-on Pharmacy Tech, it would be hard for the Pharmacist to get the job done. Franciscan Health takes pride in hiring coworkers who provide compassionate, comprehensive care for our patients and the communities we serve.PRN: Alternating shifts and weekends. 5am-1:30pm, 6am-2:30pm and 2pm-10:30pm.WHAT YOU CAN EXPECTRestocking and checking of Pyxis machines and nursing units, including onsite and offsite units.Verify integrity of medications in Pyxis machines/floor stock areas.Make routine deliveries of filled medication orders and pick up new orders to be filled.Package and maintain records of medications not prepackaged.Assist as a "second check" in the accuracy of the order entry process.Prepare and deliver intravenous piggyback admixtures.QUALIFICATIONSRequired High School Diploma/GED1 year Sterile Compounding Preferred1 year Hospital Pharmacy PreferredPharmacy Tech in Training Permit - State Licensing BoardPharmacy Tech, State Cert (PHT) - State Licensing BoardPharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Certification - Pharmacy Technician Certification BoardTRAVEL IS REQUIRED:Never or RarelyEQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYERIt is the policy of Franciscan Alliance to provide equal employment to its employees and qualified applicants for employment as otherwise required by an applicable local, state or Federal law.
