Job Summary:

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our warehouse operations team. This position is responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, organizing, and processing incoming inventory while supporting daily warehouse functions. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, able to work both independently and as part of a team, and committed to maintaining accuracy, safety, and efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or distribution preferred.

• Ability to operate or learn to operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely.

• Comfortable using handheld scanners, computers, and inventory systems.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to perform basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

• Dependable, punctual, and able to follow written and verbal instructions.

• Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment.

• Ability to lift, move, and handle warehouse materials as required.

• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous warehouse, distribution, logistics, shipping, receiving, or inventory management experience.

• Prior experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers, or other warehouse equipment.

• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.

• Experience using handheld RF scanners or barcode scanning technology.

• Experience working with inventory management software, ERP systems, or warehouse management systems (WMS).

• Ability to accurately read and interpret purchase orders, packing slips, bills of lading, and shipping documents.

• Experience with order fulfillment, material picking, staging, packaging, and shipping processes.

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing warehouse demands.

• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

• Ability to maintain productivity while working in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with multiple departments.

• Self-motivated with the ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision.

• Experience with cycle counting, stock rotation, and inventory auditing.

• Ability to identify damaged materials and properly document product issues.

• Experience loading and unloading freight carriers, flatbeds, and delivery vehicles.

• Ability to safely lift and handle heavy or oversized materials.

• Experience working with power tools, hand tools, or warehouse assembly tasks.

• Familiarity with 5S, lean warehouse practices, or continuous improvement processes.

• Customer-service mindset when supporting internal teams, drivers, vendors, or customers.

Work Environment:

This position requires regular movement throughout a warehouse environment, including standing, walking, lifting, bending, operating equipment, and handling materials throughout the workday. Safety, teamwork, and accuracy are essential to success in this role.

Essential Job Functions:

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and quantity.

• Use handheld scanners and warehouse management systems to receive, locate, pick, and process inventory.

• Perform basic math calculations to verify counts, quantities, measurements, and inventory accuracy.

• Safely operate warehouse equipment including pallet jacks and forklifts.

• Pick, pack, and fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently.

• Assist with loading and unloading trucks while following proper safety procedures.

• Organize and stock inventory in designated warehouse locations.

• Identify and report product shortages, damages, or discrepancies.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.

• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.

• Prioritize tasks and manage responsibilities with limited supervision when needed.

• Support additional warehouse duties and projects as assigned.

Compensation Range:

The compensation range for this position is $18 to $18 hourly.
