Certified Nursing Assistant / Surgical Technologist (Scrub Tech)Location: Gailey Eye Surgery Center Schedule: 3 Days/Week (Monday and Tuesday, Wednesday)Are you looking to join a dedicated, friendly team in a fast-paced outpatient surgical setting? We’re hiring a CNA/Scrub Tech to support our ophthalmology surgery center and help deliver exceptional patient care.Position SummaryThe Scrub Tech plays a vital role in supporting our surgical team by providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients undergoing outpatient eye procedures. This position involves collaboration with physicians, RNs, CRNAs, administrative staff, and other team members to ensure smooth, efficient surgical care from pre-op through post-op. Success in this role requires flexibility, teamwork, and attention to detail.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare surgical suites, including supply setup and instrument readinessAssist with patient preparation and/or discharge (vitals, gowning, comfort care)Support intraoperative care under RN and physician supervisionAssist surgeons during surgical proceduresTurn over and clean ORs; clean and sterilize instrumentsProvide postoperative support and monitor patient needsParticipate in quality improvement initiatives and special projectsHelp train and orient new staff; validate competenciesQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentSurgical Technologist certification (preferred)CPR certification (preferred)Experience in ophthalmology, surgery, or an ASC setting (preferred)Ability to lift up to 50lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform essential physical tasksStrong communication, organizational, and teamwork skillsThe starting range for this position is $20.00 - $23.22/hr, depending on skills, experience, and qualifications as well as market considerations.Join us and become part of a surgical care team that values excellence, compassion, and teamwork.
